Jutland Heath Cup and Norwegian Cup 2024
Jutland Heath Cup had 33 contestans even with the forecast looking a bit windy, but sunny. We got wind from east which gave a nice and easy starting place. 5 one and a half our rounds gave time to the retreiving, but it is still hard to walk across the heath. The sunny weather gave big termal, but also downwind and even more dust devils
A very memoriable moment was a bird cirkling around the models and trying to help the models on line to get into the termal. Maybe that helped so 11 out of 22 was in flyoff. But again this year the Danes was nice host and stayed out of the flyoff.
Saturday evening we had a 6 minutes flyoff in F1A, Q and S. Only Q was desided. So sunday morning at 7 we had the 10 minutes flyoff. Erik Niemierski won for the second year in a row.
After retreiwing it was time to Norwegian Cup. The weather was a bit calmer than for JHC, but the wind direction had changed to the worse. We moved the starting place a bit upwind, but still had trouble with the space, so all 5 rounds was with 2 min 30 sec max. Strangly it gave less flyers in flyoff. As the competition ended the wind came up, so no flyoff before monday morning at 6. This year wasen't that cold and we saw realy nice gliding.
You can see all the winners on this page or in the result links. Thanks for a nice weekend on Kongenshus Mindepark
